Default code #521 (PSPS) 1993 Mustang 2.3l automatic
I ran the codes I vthink last week sometime and got a code #521 (PSPS) In previous threads I mention that my car handles/steers like a go-cart. Would the Power Steering Pressure Switch not working make it steer like that or even steer bad? I got a new one, should I switch it out? Anyone know about this? I'd appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Is the switch even hooked up? On my '91, there's a place on the high pressure hose for a pressure switch right behind the alternator, but there's no switch. The plug is wrapped up in the harness with a cap on it. My '91 drives beautifully.


I think all the switch does is increase the idle speed when the pressure goes high. It keeps the motor from stalling during low speed maneuvering and holding the wheel at full lock.
