there not fast at all i have a 1992 which is faster than the older engines..... but not by much my brothers both have the 5.0 and there is no comparison

they arent lol.

my friend took me out for a ride in his 302 yestreday. i dont think my car will even reach that speed let alone half as fast.

open her up a bit so she can breathe and get good mpg...thats about all you can do.

or go turbo but honestly who has the time and money.....wish i did

well saturday i ran a 11.3 at 60mph at shadyside dragway its only an 1/8th mile strip though

it seems to me the fastest foxes are running stroked 460s

haha that swap aint goin very well considering i cant find any 4cyl manual trannies but i find the 5.0 clutch pedal and tranny for my brother and spend the day pulling it off for him ahaha

So 2.3 arent fast. Their good cars. I guess you never met up with one that had a turbo and tuns of BOOST. The 2.3 turbo built correctly will Blow your mind. Hondas are not fast either. Mine dynowed at 400 HP. And my 2.3 dynowed at 443 HP. Dont bet on it.

what is the gas milleage your getting on those??
and i just like the sound of the 5.0 i dont like the rice rocket sound but hell if you can get that much power out of those then thats pretty dam good

i pulled 34 mpg highway with a bad distributor so it was missing bad

Building it right from the beginning is always better than starting over to build it better because it was temporary.

93' LX hatch, 460 with mods, TH400 trans, 9" w/ 3.89 spool. Best (so far!) of 10.18 @ 131 mph with 1.39 60'

he asked if a 2.3 was fast.. he never said anything about a power adder.. anything is fast with a turbo
