Default tach problems.......

ok when i start my car my tach goes to 4500 rpms and starts to move when the engine gets faster but wont go below 4500 unless the car is off it goes back to 0 is there a way to fix it or is it something i have to live with

well for starters why dont you list the year and model of your car. that'll help alot right there.

Sry its a 92 2.3 auto trans its my wifes car she dosent care cause shes a women lol but it bugs the **** outta me

the different years are set up generally the same. years dont matter much.. must be the chrome taillights getting to you head

i would check for a bad connection on either end of the wire. find some wiring diagrams and follow it around. possibly bad gauge cluster

bad crank sensor.sorry my keys are sticking.Spilt coffee on keyboard.

Crank sensor will do that? I read about the crank sensor and it didn't mention that. Someone said it was the module on the side of the plenum. ( I forgot what it's called.) It's flat and has wires going to both sides.
