Default 89 Mustang Custom SVO oil issues

I have a custom made SVO motor in my car (well, swapped from a turbocoupe) and it has been set at 12lbs boost.

The guy who did the swap made a modification for all the excess oil to go through a line that attaches to the exhaust and burns the excess oil instead of recirculating through the intake or whatever it does (I am a turbo noob)

There is a lot of high pressure oil going through that line, just curious:

Would there be more pressure (more oil consumption) boosting in 5th gear? It seems like if I boost for too long in 5th the custom line sprays some from the fitting at the exhaust area.

I am pretty sure that is "normal" as it only has done it twice from ridiculous boosting.

I can reattach everything to the way it should be, would this be recommended? I would like to be able to boost in fifth. lol./\

12 lbs that is really low for a 2.3 a stock TC runs 16 lbs factory. There should be no excessive oil preasure(crank case preasure) An d why would someone feed it into the exhaust. Am i reading your post correctly??
