Default Timing belt broke.... Info help needed

Do I just line the markings up by turning the cranks clockwise? Will it hurt anything seeing they will all be set singly? And is it worth spending $97 on an adjustable camshaft sprocket? Will retarding the engine 4 degrees help with low end torque? Thanks guys.

Luckly the 2.3 is a noninterference motor but for every one turn of the crank the camshaft spins twice just get the car to TDC.

I have posted up on this several times with pics and everything. Do a search.

As for the cam sprocket, don't waste your money.

Why not? I can adjust the timing whenever I want.

As true as this may be, with your current configuration adjusting the cam timing will not enhance the performance enough to justify the half cost. You do not have any modifications that would work in tandem with an adjustable cam sprocket. Put about $2k into the head and valvetrain and then spend the $97.00.

Now, you want one, go get one.

How much do I tighten the belt? I'm going to put a new one on here in a minute and need to know.

When timing a 2.3 belt use the string method . The stock timing marks are worthless.

The first time I took it off I put all the markings back to the marks and it ran fine. I think I tightened the belt to much cause it looked loose as f**k. The belt broke and probably took out my crank sensor cause it won't start and I have no spark. How do I fix a neutral safety switch? I have to start my car in neutral.
