Exclamation 1989 Mustang 2.3L won't start

Ok, I'm at my wits end...

About 6 weeks ago, the head gasket disintegrated between the #1 and #2 cylinders. I replaced the head gasket, and while the head was off also swapped out the cam for a ’93 Mustang 2.3L cam. Also, dropped on the exhaust manifold from the ’93, as well.

Buttoned everything up, and the car ran ok for two days. Had a rough idle for the first few minutes after startup, but then ran ok.
Then, as I was driving the second day, the engine just died. One moment, I’m driving 45mph and then the tach goes to zero, no sound from the motor… and I coast to a stop. The engine than refused to start.

So, here’s the breakdown:
The engine will crank, and sounds like it wants to start but won’t.
Compression is good.
PCM, Coil, Spark Plugs, Ignition Module are all good. (Replaced all with new parts, except PCM)
I just had installed a new fuel pump, filter and injectors. Fuel is getting to injectors.

It seems like all the parts are there: fuel, spark, and compression… yet, no go…

I haven’t tested the Hall effect sensor on the distributor, but am going to… anything else I should be looking for? I am at a complete loss as to why this motor will not start…

Ok here is what you need for the engine to start. Compression ( 130 lbs or more) Spark (at the right time and strong blue in color) and fuel (at the right time) And no vacuum leaks. If you have all three the engine should start.

Turns out it was the hall effect sensor.

However, now, when I turn on the car it will run fine for about a minute... then lose power and die...

I can restart the motor, but same thing... runs fine, then dies after just a moment or so...

Anyone have any ideas?
