1992 Mustang 4 Cylinder Tach 3000 rpmat startup

Hey everyone. New to the forum world. Wondered if anyone could help. 92 mustang w/4 cylinder (8 plugs) At start up the tachometer is ready 3000 rpms, but the car is running fine. Sounds like it is idleing as it should. What should I be looking for to be the cause? Thanks for any help. I drive the car and it has been doing fine. Just bothersome to look at the tach at start up showing 3000rpms.

I've been asking that same question for months now with no exact answer. Really, no answer at all. Lol. I'd still like to know. Mine sits at 3k RPM too until the RPM's go higher than 3k.
