Default 1989 Mustang lx 2.3l turbo

Hi I have a 1989 mustang lx 2.3l I am going to put a turbo in it I am going to buy all new parts not just move the parts off a thunderbird and I don't know what size of turbo would be best

That depends on a whole lot of things. Cam-compression-computor-tranny -rear axle-cylinder head-valve size-ETC ETC

Go with it. I had one in Germany. Mine was the non-turbo and I could bearly get 110 - 115. The ones with the tubro's were doing 140mph. Turbo is the way to go.

If i am reading him right he wants to turbo his NA motor?????????? Or swap in a TC motor???????? Big difference in parts and turbo size???????

I want to turbo my n/a and not swap I am going to keep STD valve sive and bore but I will put new valves rings rods pistons so they don't die a week after all the work

THAT MEANS YOU WILL HAVE TO COMPLETELT REBUILD YOUR ENGINE WITH TURBO COMPONENTS. If you do it this way you have a heck of a lot of work ahead of you. And a big expense. Better off buying a TC or SVO.

I will get some parts from tc but I plan on getting the turbo wastgate bov from hks the intercoler from bell and the pistons rings valves from racers walsh but the other parts from a svo or tc I just need the sive of the hks turbo

The turbo should be .63 AS for a mild HP build.

ok so im just wondering if i swaped out my engine with a SVO engine would i have to swap the computer and rewire my entire car? how hard would this be??

You would need to swap the computer and repin your harness + a couple of other things. Check out www.stinger-performance.com
