Default Installing AshTray Cover

Need help on how to install a cover for the center console ash tray. I have a new? 1993 Msutang XL Conv. 2.3L Auto I'm restoring with a broken lid to the ash tray console... I have ordered a new lid, and spring but have no idea how it goes into the slot or what it hooks to. The consolo it self does not have any apparent points inside the console to hook the lid or the spring...not sure if something is broke off hte console or jsut a broken lid???? Thanks....

With the lid in your hand, the two attaching points will become apparent. Your two hinge points may be broken in the console, too...
