Just rip out the old and put in the new. Trunk is easy and so is the door. I've done the weather stripping on both my stangs. I got the kit from Ford for the first stang and this one I got lucky and found good-new condition weather stripping at the yard.

Yes, the trunk is very easy as there is nothing you will have to take out to get the old one out. The doors aren't that much harder. Just bring your phillips screw-driver (+) to the job and take out the interior pieces that hold the weatherstripping in place.

NOTE: remember that the gap on trunk will go where the latch is and the gap for the doors will go at the bottom near the rear of the door or right in the middle. Otherwise the weatherstripping will let weather in

No adhesive is needed. The weatherstripping grips very well. Also be sure to pull the weatherstripping tight, you don't want a gap bigger than about an inch if the stripping is the right length.
