With the little setup I have going, semi-CAI, no CATs w/ straight pipe and turn down pipe, will I notice a difference with the header? I'm going to get a TB from the yard and do a P&P. And eventually put in a cam I don't have to change anything to put it in.

is it a new cam? or one out or a ranger? if its new get new lifters and rockers. and remember always break in the cam for 30 mins and 3000 RPM's. and if you are putting a cam in the header should make a difference.

Easiest way to see if it will help is by implementing those things and then taking a drive, lol. Obviously you know that the parts you're putting into it are better and at worst they perform the same but "look" better... So yeah you will probably notice a difference from when you first got the car.
Start simple and work your way into more challenging projects. And plus, changing the exaust manifold is too easy and shouldn't take longer than an hour, whereas the other ones (what is a TB?) will take more effort and research; especially the port and polish. That is how I would personally do it, and how I am doing it with my project; just taking baby-steps
lol, yeah that's not exactly the easiest thing in the world to do... probably a lot of time and effort to get it right. I still stick with my original statement of starting simple and taking little steps because if you throw yourself into a mud-hole without big tires and 2 wheel drive, you're gonna get stuck no matter what! (lmao, I thought that was a pretty damn good metaphor)
Thanks guys. One more thing. Can someone post a picture of the ranger and mustang header so I can see the difference. I've been trying to look but they all look the very same.
Can someone please tell me if the muffler pipe and the header still meet up in the same area, or do I have to extend/shorten the pipe to connect to the header. I want to pick it up this weekend.
