Default No Parking or Instrument Panel Lights

O.k. i've got this reocurring problem with my parking lights and instrument panel lights going out together. This happened about 6 months ago, and they were both out for a month, and all of a sudden just started working again. Now their both out again. All I've done so far is change the fuses, and rear bulbs and still nothing. Headlights, flashers, break lights, and emergencies all work fine.

Thanks for any ideas

Zac

you're not gonna like my answer, but here it is. sounds to me like its a wiring issue. follow the wires and see if you can find anything that doesn't look perfect. sounds like the parking lights might be shorting out the guage panel. thats fun cuz you have to take the entire dash apart just to see... sorry...

The head light switch controls all incoming power and is a common problem on these cars put in a known good one first
then test from there it goes to the dimmer switch for dash lights

Yep, absolutely.
Make sure you get the right one. One is for fog lights one is not. Most parts stores call With / Without Visability group

Default Bad Switch

Turns out it's the headlight switch. I shake it a little and the lights come on. Must have a short or something.

Thanks for all the advice

Zac
