Default 1993 Mustang lx starting problems?

I recently just bought my first fox body 4 days ago and I already have a problem. The problem is the car wont start everytime. I had the battery tested and it was good. It has a new alternator and starter on the car so i was wondering if i should start at the solenoid. Any Suggestions? By the way its a 2.3l 5 speed
Any help would be appreciated

Agreed... Oh by the way, welcome and congratulations on your buy!

It helps everyone out a lot if you post as much info as possible about the problem. If you could give us the exact situation of the problem with detailed descriptions. For instance, if it clicks, or cranks but wont fire, or if nothing happens at all, and when this happens and where and the temperature and even if you were wearing a clean pair of underwear (jk). Too much info is never an issue when it comes to vehicular problems when the people helping you are hundreds or thousands of miles away. If possible, post videos or something else like that (that would be neat!)

The problem is the motor just wont turn over sometimes it clicks and other times it wont do anything. The dome light and dash lights are really dim or they just dont come on at all. I replaced the solenoid on the fender and thought it fixed the problem but yesterday it started acting up again. Any help is greatly appreciated as i dont want it to leave walking again. Thanks

Okay, sounds like your battery is being drained. Charge the battery, then see if it starts. If it does and you leave it for a few hours and try to start it again and it doesn't, then you have a drain somewhere. If the lights and everything are really dim, then the battery wasn't holding it's charge. Jump start it and go from there.

i had this exact problem with my 93 4-cyl 'vert. i had the starter checked twice and it tested good, so i replaced the wires from the battery and the ground too. still had same prob. so i changed the solenoid on the fender. same prob still. tried jumping it every time with no help. turns out it was the starter after all. check the wires and try to jump it. if it still wont start, replace that starter. don't know why it worked on the testing machine and not on the car, but it did. also ran a new 1 guage ground from the motor to the body to try to help. it didn't. started every time since i got the new starter.

Ok charge the battery. And have it tested. If its good. And the car starts check the charging system. Always check the condition of the battery cables for tightness and corrosion. If thr car wont start with a jump and you hear a loud thump when the key is turned to start the startyer may be bad. If you have a fender solenoid it may be bad. But you claim the lights are dim so that means battery. Try jumpstarting and go from their. I just read your post again. Clean and check all battery cables and if the car wont jump i suspest the solenoib is defective. Is it an auto?? NSS could be bad. Check if it will start in neutral.:bigth umbsup

yeah i was a bit pissed at that too, but it supposed to be more efficient... i still don't understand why a 93 cavalier will outrun these things and get better gas mileage... i'm not hatin, just tryin to figure out what the hell the ford guys were thinking when they made this anemic little 4... i still wont trade it though
