Is it a turbo motor... Or a n/a motor with a turbo? 8psi is high for cast pistons, while 8psi is no where near blowing it up for forged internals. If it is a turbo engine, it can probably handle a lot of BOOST (Tom will know the limit)... The only problem is getting the stock turbo to pump it out

Do not turn the boost up anymore... As I have read in many other threads, the most you can ever turn the boost up to with cast pistons is 5-6psi... Past that you are making a recipe for swiss cheese. So just wait it out until you can put forged pistons in it, then turn that puppy all the way up and have fun! lol

Steve

PS: cool project!

Watch out and don't push your luck especially if you need this thing to live for a while. Remember, the closer to the edge you run ,the less margin of error you have.

Windows on a computer = OK (says the guy running Linux )
Windows in a motor = $$bad$$

Totally confused i thought it was a stock turbo motor. Dont push that boost any higher. At 8 lbs and no forged pistons 8 is at the ultimate high range of boost. If any higher its meltdown CITY ++ what chandler said
