Guys got a new cammera and loaded photos in my computer. Here is my problem. I want to post them on this site and i dont know how to do it. HELP PLEASE I HAVE A LOAD OF GREAT STUFF TO SHOW YOU GUYS. THANKS TOM I know you guys can talk me through this.:headscr atch:
Tom,
The best way to do it is to go to www.photobucket.com, register and open an account. Transfer photos from your camera to a folder in My Documents, or anywhere else. Then upload from the folder to Photobucket. Now your photos are online and you can post them in any forum. In most forums you can post a pic directly to your post and have it appear. In this forum you can't do that. You have to post a direct link.
Once uploaded to Photobucket, place your curser on the photo you want to post and a box will appear underneath it with 4 addresses in it.
Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code
Copy the Direct Link address and paste it into your post here on AFM. That's it. Anyone can click on the direct link and see your photo. For most every other forum, copy and past the IMG Code address and the actual photo will appear in your post. Hope this helps!

see pic below. click on it and then you can browse through your folder and pick out the photos that you want to upload and then press "upload" when you are done and wait until the files have been uploaded.

Hay but i made some progress i have 8 photos in photo bucket right now. Tom JR helped me last night and i know how to do that. He also showed me how to post them on this forum but it did not work. I will be getting another lesson tonight from him??? Hope i can do it because i have sone shots of the mustang. Well keep the faith guys i am almost their. I would rather build an air cooled VW motor than figure out this stuff. And i Hate air cooled VW engines to say the least. Thanks guys you are the BEST.
Tom,
Go to your Photobucket album and place the cursor (little arrow) directly on the picture you want to post. When you do, a box will appear right below the pic with the 4 addresses in it like I said before. Put the cursor on the 'direct link' address. Right click. A small white box will appear. Left click on 'Copy'.
Now left click on the first box at the very top right of your screen. That will minimize the Photobucket page down to the bottom of your screen. Now go to the reply box here at AFM. Put your cursor in the middle of the reply box and right click. That'll give you another small white box. Now, left click on 'Paste'. You've just added your link to AFM. To check it, left click on 'Advanced', right next to 'Submit Reply'. That will post a preview right above the reply box. Your link should be highlighted in blue in the preview box. Left click on the highlighted link and your picture should appear.
Kurt,
It sucks that Photobucket is blocked at your work. It's blocked at mine too. But, go ahead and tell me how much you hate Photobucket again. That'll give you 1000 posts! Haha!
