my automatic trans will not shift gears, i have no idea what the problem could be and i was wondering if i needed to get it rebuilt

What do you mean not shift gears? Like you can't shift into a gear or when you put it in drive it just stays in 1st? More info on the situation is really needed for anyone to consider posting a reply. Otherwise we'll be taking rediculously wild guesses at the problem.

A suggestion: check the shifter linkage (shot in the dark!!!)

do you try and shift it with yor mind??


or do you think D stands for dont go? and instead put it in 1

Steve ($10 says that this guy never gives us any more info and just takes it to his local mechanic who will tell him that he needs a rebuild even though that may not be the case)
