ok my alt went out the other day, my question is will any alt from 79-93 2.3s work? im thinking it would as long as it had the internal voltage regulator, any help is greatly appreciated

Yes and NO if it has the same plug it should work. You can install a G3 that is 130 amps and works real good. They have the directions on the nato website. I dont post on nato any more they banned me. Pete got mad at me for kicking butt at the car show.

You can also use an alternator from a 87-93 5.0. You just have to remove the three bolts and rotate the two halves so that the mounting matches your 2.3 alternator. I have done quite a few like that.
