Two Part Mystery:
Part One - No 3rd or 4th gear. Need to start off with selector in 1 and manually shift up to 2. Won't go into third gear.
Part Two - When harness to 3-4 shift solenoid and torque convertor clutch solenoid is connected to the connector on the
tranny, the fusable link to the fuel pump realy blows. Three wires are there going into the
tranny: red 381 (part of engine harness power circuit), O/Y 237 (to PCM), and P/Y (to PCM).
1993 LX Mustang with 2.3l four-banger. Red. Rag top. Son's first car.
Questions:
1. Are these two seperate issues or the same one?
2. Any fault isolation help?
