Red face 1988 Mustang LX with bad relay. Please Help!

Hello. I'm looking to replace a bad cooling fan controller (a TRW relay E7ZB-8C609-AA 1 EB). I'm out here is nowhere land, and they want a gazillion dollars for one. Anyone have any ideas where I can find one, or a replacement for it? I can't find it online, either. I have a 1988 Mustang LX with a 2.3L engine (i think that's right). Any help would be great. Thank you.

Thanks for welcoming me to the site, Nigel. And thanks for the responses from OneOwnerLX and NavySVO. I checked both links and found the part! and in a great price range too. Thank you so much.

I have an 88 5.0 and just got off the line with a ford parts guy.

According to him the relay is for a cooling fan which I assume to be the electric fan for a 4 cylinder. makes sense because this connector was vacant for my 5.0 which of course has the clutch fan.

This now raises the question, can this relay set up and wiring be used to run aftermarket cooling fans. My 88 has a flexalite, and my toy is about to get a be cool twin fan

Is it bad or just burn't at the connection. Reason I ask. I added a external relay to mine. Wiring diagram of the cooling relay system and how I done the modification. Maurice
