Default 1986 Ford Mustang low compression problem

I have a LX 1986 Mustang that has 203,00 miles on a 4 banger.
I just recently discovered 2 and 3 cylinder have low compression at 30psi.
They say - it is either the valves or the cam shaft. What are my options?

Probably time to think about tearing it down. Could be rings too.

Most likely a blown head gasket between the two cylinders.

Pull the head. Only then will you find the truth.

Sounds like a typical head gasket. Side by side cylinders low squeez.

I also agree with it being the head gasket. When you take the head off, it would be the perfect time to upgrade the camshaft to the "ranger roller" cam and also have the head rebuilt.

RR roller ok cam but i would go a little bigger. The RR is a little lean in the lift department. But its a good cheap alternative . Better than the stocker.
