Default 1993 2.3l mustang LX - power probelms

I purchased this car about a month ago with this known problem. The car ran like ****, figured id give it a tune up. Put in new motorcraft sparks plugs and xact wires.changed the oil, cleaned the air filter etc. The engine ran much better after that. But i still am having an issue which i cant seem to figure out and no one i have spoken to can either. the problem occures when you start the car. If you turn the key all the way like normal and let the engine kick on, the car is fine, but if you let go before the engine can fully start. the car will not start when u try again. You must let the car sit for several hours or push start it so that it will start. When u try to turn it on, it just sounds like it wants to turn on but wont.

any ideas???

Ok does the engine always crank??? Or does it crank and not start??? If you try the second time do you have spark. When you have the problem do you have fuel. Need more info. You need spark compression and fuel for an engine to run. One is missing. Which one ??? sounds like you are loosing spark while cranking if so check it when the car wont start and we will go from their. TOM
