Default '91-'93 2.3l Mustang CAI with MAF

Well I tried it with the 3" tube and it ran weird. I finally found a 2" pipe with a slight curve to it. I cut it down and cleaned it up. Works better than the 3" did. Although, when I had the 3" on there if I floored it from a dead stop, it would normally drive and after it hit 4500 rpms it would kick you back in the seat like I hit nitrous. That was nice, but no top end.
Now the 2" is giving me some top end back and it drives and idles smoother. If I floor it at a stop now, it'll move instead of choke out ti'll I let go of some of the gas.
I guess I should ask a question. With the 3" tube, should I have gone with a 5.0 MAF and injector setup to make it run right? How about the computer from a '93 5.0 automatic or tune my computer? Will that setup work on a 2.3l?
I'm not doing this anytime soon. I just got it working right and want to see how much more gas I can save with this setup. But when I want to, i'd like to know I have the right information. Thanks guys.

Default cool stuff

If you really want the performance, you need to get that filter out of the engine bay and into the fender! I noticed a huge gain of power; one day it was raining and since I don't currently have front tubs I had to put the filter back in the engine bay, and I noticed a really dramatic difference. With it in the fender it had so much more power because it was exposed to more air and colder air. Think about how hot it is in the engine bay when the engine heats up to operating temperature. That why the stock air intake was grabbing air from lower at the very front of the vehicle. With your setup, it should be called a hot-air-intake, lol.

And as far as the computer goes, wouldn't your computer be able to hook up to the 5.0 MAF? If they are the same connection, run with it and see what happens... because I don't think you could use a 5.0 computer... That would be silly. What would control the ignition? Isn't that controlled by the computer?

I have another pipe just for that reason.
