Default 86 SVO Ignition lock set replacement

I lost the keys to my 86 SVO. I have a new ingnition lock set and now need the process to replace the switch. Please advise...thanks

OK lots of drilling. You need the key to change the tumbler. You will have to drill out the tumbler in order to remove it. Once the tumbler is turned their is a tiny hole under the key area where you can put in a paper clip or small drill bit to release the tumbler. Once the old one is out the new one just pushes in abd locks itself in. The key must be in the run position to release it with the depressing of the tumbler pin. If you feel you cant do it a locksmith can do it fairly cheap. Good luck tom:non o:
