For the Hairpin style (fuel return):
Go to any parts store and they will have one. It is called a Ford Fuel and AC line removal tool. It is an assortment of about 5 pieces that have different size half-circle tools. You will see what I mean when you ask at the parts place.
If you don't use this, you will destroy the fitting and you will be in a place you will want to crawl from quickly.

For the Duckbill style (fuel supply):
Remove the white (may be yellow by now) arrowhead shaped thing with the 2 prongs carefully by hand and a slight assist by a screwdriver.

As a tip; before you pull the line off of the rail, rotate the line gently back and forth to prevent tearing the oring inside.

Make sure when you put the lines back together that garter spring snaps back into position. If you cant see into the fitting run a small pick or similar tool GENTLY inside the cavity of the fitting to feel the spring in position in front of the flare on the connected line.

Most of the time if the fitting ins not seated the line will blow out as soon as any pressure is put to it and no harm is done. But sometimes it wont blow out until you are on the road. With gasoline that could be a bad day.
