I got a set of Eibach Lowering Springs... They dropped it a lot. They were originally supposed to lower it 1" in the back and 1.5" in the front, but I didn't include the spring seats or isolators. In the end I got a gigantic drop as seen in the pictures:

Some shots of the springs:

These are fairly stiff especially with the use of KYB shocks and struts...

Hi 90 THIS IS DROPPED (lowered)http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...r/100_3763.jpg
I did the suspension in this car. THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD CALL LOW. Your mustang is at a real good height. Did you measure it before and after. Looks like about 2-2 1/2 inch drop. That is normal for those spring that suspension companies sell. I find that most of those aftermarket springs really drop the car alot. They are of a much higher spring rate though. Your mustang looks cool and a tad low but not BAD. I like it. Do you have nice roads in canada?? If so the SLAM is COOL Tom

Dude! that is low! Even for a race car! Oh man... I would love to work on race cars!

No, i didn't measure the exact height before and after, but 2-2.5" is definately in the ballpark. I am going to put the top seats back in the front as it is a little too low in the front and the camber is maxed out on the stock camber plate!!!

I don't know if you caught my other thread, but I posted up with all of the results of how the swap went and I found out when I went to get it aligned that everything is perfect, except the car sits .5" higher on the passenger's side. I'll figure it out when I put it back up on the jack stands (I am thinking I don't have the springs lined up properly? your thoughts would be appreciated).

I would definately recommend these Eibach's to anyone. What does the spring rate mean?

The spring rate is the amount of weight it takes the spring to compress 1" from insralled height. Lets say your spring has a stationary height of 10". If it takes 200 lbs to compress it to 9" the spring rate is 200 LBS. The side to side difference of 1/2" is really not that bad a thing. As the matter of fact if its on the drivers side thats perfect. You sit on the drivers side and that compensates the difference in height. When we set up cars sometimes we do that on purpose to get the car negative height with a driver in the front seat . Hope this helps TOM

Unfortunately it's on the passenger's side... Luckily I don't work out and so I weigh next to nothing. When I get a chance to take a closer look, I'll tell you whats going on... and if worse comes to worse, I can always just add the spring seats to just the driver's side to lift it up.

Steeve still not to bad 1/2" is acceptable. But you sound like the type of guy that wants it perfect. You can mess around with the spring pad inserts to get it perfect. Be careful of those springs and go for it. Also sometimes the rear springs will cause a sag in the front. Make shure your rear springs are indexed properly. TOM

Jabez, I recommend H&R Sports for your car. You will get about an 1" to 1.5" of lowering, and these are a progressive rate spring so they will ride almost stock, yet corner nicely with a stiffer rate than stock.

IMO, Eibach springs are waaaay too harsh of a ride.

As true as that may be, think of this;
If that harsh ride is transmitted to you, it is also transmitted to the car, but at a much greater extent. The fox chassis is prone to cracking and twisting already. Why excellerate it that much more? I can almost garrantee you that if you puled up your carpet up there are already cracks in your floorboard.

I'd recommend Eibach Lowering Springs. I did it on my 92 and it dropped the car about 1 - 1.5 inches.

I used the Coil Springs and KYB Shock Kit from Sacramento Mustang (where I used to work), I also got the Mac Caster Camber Plates.

Thanks. Yea, I believe so lol its been a few years since I put them in, your talking about the polyurethane seats that you put on the top and bottom of the spring right?

Also, my rear end does sit slightly lower than the front end because I have a huge heavy custom built subwoofer box thats a good 40lbs or so in the back containing 3 subs lol

i gotta tell ya, the ride is amazing, ripping around corners feels amazing, this current suspension I have is WAAAAAY better than stock

Yes, I am wondering if you used the polyurathane seats on the top and bottom of the springs. And also, did you use the little tubes that go inside the springs (aka: isolators)?

Steve

ps: I am wondering because I didn't use either and mine sits the way it does, so I am just trying to figure out what to do from here.
