Default car spits and sputter?? HELP

ok so i have a 1990 mustang auto, and i just did a mass air swap, i got the maf, injectors and computer from a 1992 mustang auto, i have all of them in the car, and from about 500 to 2500 rpms it spits and sputters soooo bad and it will shut off, i have the maf unit wired in like so

a=spliced into 37(power)
b=spliced into 60(ground)
c=15
d=14

then i diconected the vaccuum hose from the map sensor and left it open, then on the vaccuum "port" (on the upper driverside firewall) i put a plug on it.

did i do something wrong, its killing me, please help

can you run the MAF with an open vaccum port on the MAP sensor?

The MAP sensor becomes a BAP sensor in a MAF environment. Instead of referencing manifold pressure for fuel metering, it references barometric pressure as an adjustment to air quantity calcs.

To the original Poster: Did you line up the pinouts of both computers and verify that everything else was the same?

a 92 mustang has DIS, so it would be looking for a crank sensor, i've never done the dis conversion but i have a idea that the ignition is not firing correctly.

I agree. I think what he did was swap computers and only paid attention to the MAF vs. MAP wiring and not the rest of the computer's I/O.

The crank trigger signal on a DIS setup is the same as the PIP signal for the TFI.
