Default 1993 Mustang 2.3, Help Changing Oil Pan seal

Any suggestions or tricks for changing th oil pan seal on a 93 2.3L, 4 cylinder, auto tansmission. Can this be done with out pulling the engine? I had the transmission replaced and it came home with a leaking oil pan seal.

+1 yank the motor.

By the time you did all the crap to get the pan out of the car without pulling the engine, you could have it out, and on the stand with plenty of room to work and a lot less headache. While you're there, replace the rear main seal and check the pump pickup for debris.

it should only take about 2 hours to pull the motor, thats including a run to the beer store.

If that. There's nothing to these 2.3l engines. I can pull a 5.0 out of a '91 Crown Vic in around an hour, give or take. Should take you no time at all. Do what you can to it while it's out.
