Default Final Assembly and adjustments of my final drive

Here is the finishing touches of my XLE

Crushing the new sleeve. Go real easy and only tighten 1/8 turns at a time. Then read the drag.

Testing pinion load with INCH LB beam torque wrench. It should be 20-25 inch lb drag with seal installed. I set myne at 25. The seal adds 10 and i wanted 15 so i set it to 25.

The unit is ready for a cover gasket and the cover. Fill the axle to the top of the fill hole then add another 1/2 pint then install the fill plug.
Well i took it for a ride and drove it at 15 mph for a fiew blocks to get the oil in the right places. Then up to 40 MPH. No noize and another rear axle under my belt. Hope you liked the build.
