1984 SVO-Blows smoke when the turbo spools up

I was wondering what could be causing the car to blow some black smoke only when the turbo spools up. It doesnt look like a diesel or anything. My dad just noticed it when he was following me.I dont know if its because it had been sitting for 13 years, or if the turbo could need rebuilding or what.

An initial puff of black smoke is normal when boost comes in. The reason is the engine requires much more fuel under BOOST. If its just an initial puff and it clears its normal. If its excessive its NOT. If it clears up after turbo lag forger it and drive on happily ever AFTER. TOM
