COOL! so you just had to cut off enough of the end of headlight backing to fit the light in and then make something to screw it into? How much are those HID's anyway? Are they worth the trouble of playing around with the headlight like that?

Steeve to be honest JR gets them from wrecks that come to the body shop. Sometimes they are salvageable. Tom JR did the handy work not me. The board was getting stale so i posted the lights. They are awsum. These are from a benz. They are far out and they have hi and low. tom JR gets the credit for these.

Good thing we have someone around to freshen things up every once in a while... We should do siome recruiting to get more people over here! I have checked out the 5.0 section, and I am honestly jealous of what they have going on over there. They probably have more sticky threads than we do normal ones, lol. But I have a really good thread in me just waiting to be typed out... I have lots of pictures that I just have to re-size.

Do those fit on a mustang or something? Because you said it was gonna be for a Ford. They look similiar to the mustang headlamps. And yeah, it looks like a lot of work. I'll just stick it out with my halogens and fill up the halogen fluid every once in a while for extra brightness ...

Tom Renzo. Educate me and other. On the HID headlights beside the obvious part to replace the headlight part. Also what cars and years are they one. Would love to do this modification on my Mustang and MG Midget. About the only j-yard around here are old, pull-a-part or one's only want to sell out of a person budget range. Maurice

Welder dude how goes it. Well i spoke to tom and he said the AUDI is a good choice and some porsches. Tom told me that if you visit a local body shop they might give you some that were replaced because of minor damage on a repair. See if you can talk to the body shop manager and make him a deal. All the HID'S tom has made were from wrecks. They can be broken because all you need is the lamp and optics and the ballast. You just need some eye balling to see if they will work. TOM

Im going to repaint all of the trim and other plastic pieces on my stang. I could post up pics along with a how to. Its a cheap way to freshen up your vehicle when its done properly.
