I have a 1991 mustang 2.3 n/a with new fuel pump and fuel filter, plugs wires and oil the whole nine yards and i can figer out why it bogs and falls on its face at 4,500rpm

Welcome to the forum. I would get the codes pulled on the car. Some autoparts will do it for free or small amount. Of course these cars are getting old and can't do because don't have the equipment anymore. Worse come to worse can use this method and count the blinks of the check engine light. Maurice

Was it raining when this happened? The computer in my 4-banger mustang racecar get some water on it one day at the track and it would not rev over 4000. I swapped computers and the problem was gone. A few days later i put the (wet) computer back in and everything was fine.
