Default 2.3 N/A Throttle Body Spacer

This is for a fusion...
Steeda Throttle Body Spacer - 2.3L I4 Ford Fusion
Ok so I have seen these in JEGs and other magazines and was wondering if any one has put one on there 2.3. I am trying to get more hp and fuel economy and I heard on a ranger 2.3 forum that it does make a difference so if any one has one can they give me some experienced feed back?

I tested several of them over the years and found no HP increase or fuel economy gains.

While on this subject. Intakes Tom Renzo what is opion to removing the water jacket on the lower intake. My thought was grind out the passage. Weld up the opening to the head. Then tap it to take a brass tube and put t's in so to keep water circulation same and not have to change sensor location. May have to put brace at end to prevent metal fatique at the base of pipe. Felpro makes a gasket that has the passage blocked. You will have to relocate the CTS to the heater hoses. That is not a problem . The auto temp system has a neat fitting that can be used to relocate it. Or you can go to HOME DEPOT and come up with fittings to repipe it to the heater hoses. Now what is the GAINS. if you live in a worm climate its worth 3-4 Ponies. If you live in a cold climate and you drive in the winter i would not bypass it. Anytime you remove heat from the intake you gain HP. But in the winter the fuel will puddle in the manifold with a carb. But efi is different. All you will be doing is keeping heat out of the intake stream. But in a high humidity low temps situations the manifold can ice up. I have experienced this and it is a pain. Bottom line is in a worm climate definately block it. In the winter in a cold climate if you use your car all year round don't. We block many TB hot watter heat sources from many engine with good results. Its a toss of the coin in cold climate winter driven cars. Hope this helps Tom

Thanks. I knew about the propane gasket. I just didn't know the disadvantage. Wife drives the car as daily driver so it not a option now. Maurice
