what exhaust sounds the best

i was just wondering if there was anyone out there that has put aftermarket exhaust of custom setups on a 2.3 turbo. i dont want to be crackely or sound like the 40 dollar mufflers from AutoZone. Just never heard one yet.

and what size is the best... 3"?

i have heard a flowmaster 40 series sounds quite good on a 2.3L,real throaty.as for 3",if its n/a,i would stick to around 2.25"-2.5" for the exhaust,but if its turbo,go 3" or bigger

I run a 2.5" pipe with a flowmaster 2 chamber muffler. It is a bit on the loud side (deep tone) when you open the throttle, in fact loud enough to annoy people sitting in their car just behind the exhaust pipe...if I interpreted the middle finger I got after revving the engine at a traffic light :-). When cruising, it isn't too loud though, my factory stereo has no problem over coming the noise.

hey coulomb u seem like u may know alot about the 2.3, i have a problem. im not sure what it is, but i am leaning towards a fuel pump.
the car runs good until you get into boost at approx. half a tank of gas. then it starts running like crap. it fluctuates a little at idle sometimes.

if anyone has any input plz let me know
