1987 Thunderbird turbo coupe wont idle

i just bought an 87 turbo coupe it still has the ihi turbo, when i got it the turbo and the intercooler were off the car. needless to say i put it all back together but now when i start it it wont idle. i can give it gas and keep it running but if i let off the gas around 1000 rpms it just dies. I am fairly sure its a vacuum leak but i dont have a diagram to go off of. I need a vacuum diagram for the turbo or one for the entire engine would help as well.

also ive replaced the cap and rotor, the plugs and wires, fuel pump and fuel filter, and the ignition control module and the cat converter. if any one has any suggestions it would be much appreciated

First like said probably vac leak. The pcv valve needs to be a Ford only one. The others leak thru. The IAC on the 2.3 goes bad quite often. Can clean. Carb cleaner not brake cleaner.
Check the EGR valve for leak thru. Can cause bad idle.
The throttle position sensor needs set at approx .95 volts at idle give or take a little
Look at hose from vam to turbo needs spring in it to prevent collapse and no holes in it.
I assume looked at turbo to intercooler couplers. Sometimes they have holes or not put on correct. No insult meant putting that intercooler on bottom one can slip and you not see it.
Compression test or leak down test. The 2.3 turbo is bad about blowing headgasket. Mostly between #3 and #4 cylinder. If so check head for cranks.
Now for vacuum diagram.

Always could make a boost tester. I have a front mount intercooler. I thought leak free until I made one and found several. Keep the psi below 10psi. The thing will come off and if so please get out of its way. I didn't. No harm done. I was very lucky.
IC Pipe Tester
Hopefully I hit it somewhere if not just ask. One of us should help you out. Maurice

thanks that was very helpful, i actually got it running correctly without the diagram, now the problem is that under driving the car wont rev past 3500 rpms, is that a common problem? ive replaced the fuel pump the fuel filter and nothing changes the way it runs. some people have told me it could be an injector but im not sure, it will rev fine when im not driving, also ive heard fuel pressure regulator
