New guy here and to SVO's.
I have the chance to trade an 86 GT for a 86 SVO. The interior is pretty ruff in the SVO. Is there many parts like seat covers (leather) and other int. pars available out there?

Thanks for any responses!!

as the owner of 2 svos i will say this. if you are starting from scratch you should have deep pockets to get parts.
for instance:
on the internet:
full set of new leather-1000.00
a full set of new exterior thin trim moldings-600.00
a full set of new wheels-800.00
new steering wheel, horn pad and shift knob-800.00

this is the major pars . dont forget any paint and body work and any other parts that are no longer available thru ford.

would i start again yes as i got a dump truck full of nos parts with my first one and was able to pick uo the nit-noid parts i needed for the second one.
no because of the obvious parts situation-
unless i found a low mileage all original car that needed nothing.

Thanks firsthero!

The body looks, from pictures, to be better than mine, but the interior is worse. The seats are the major bad part. The steering wheel looks to have a leather aftermarket wrap on it. Hopefully it is descent under it. The carpet looks to be dirty too. I'm hoping it will come clean.
The trans. has a prob. with 3rd gear too, maybe the synch's. I do have a 84 GT trans that I could put in. I believe all I need is a certain bushing to make the swap. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks
