Hello, I have an 89 LX Notch (4 banger). I got into a wreck recently and need to replace the driver fender apron and core support along with all front body panels. Anyways I've purchased the core support and fender aprons (smooth, no holes) from LateModelRestoration. My question is: Can I bolt the core support on instead of welding it on? Reason I ask..... I'm going to be doing a motor swap soon and just think it would be easier to remove the front core support when doin it because i will have to to change the transmission as well. its only a 4 cyl so its not like im going to be hauling a$$ in it and cornering hard. btw its going to the body shop sometime next week to get the driver frame straighten out and the fender aprons installed. thanks for the input in advance!

Me personally, I would not leave it bolted into place. Spend the extra time, and money to have it done right. It shouldn't cost very much I would think if you pay someone. They should be able to line it up and spot weld it with no problems.

I know some bronco guys that do this so they can swap out race engines and what not, but as a dd type car, I wouldn't. Just my opinion.

I only want to bolt it in for the time being till i do my motor swap. after the swap ill have it welded in.
