Hi, I have 1993 mustang lx with the 2.3l and I want to drop a 1972 302 carb, motor, can anyone tell me if this will work and or what would need to be changed on motor or body to put this together , any help or advice would be very appreciated .. thank you
forget it...at 141 hp the 1972 302 was a low point in automotive history...really sell what you have and find a good used GT

The 2.3 crossmember is the same for the V-8. You'll need engine mounts, exhaust headers (shorties are available everywhere for those- check e-bay for a nice used set) and maybe a transmount depending on choice. Your engine can be made to deliver just like any other V-8. You'll also need toget an ignition module with a matching distributor. A duraspark unit is cheap and reliable. You'll need the V-8 radiator to cool her down too. This will get you started. hope it helps.
