Default Where is a good place to get a replacement a4ld

As the topic states, im in need of a tranny soon. 150k on the car, still orginal tranny, so i know its days are numbered...

Anyways, its a 1990 NA Mustang Conv't 2.3L, some small mods, workin on gettin cash fer a turbo setup. :thumbsup

Since my woman drives the car, and she isnt very good at cars, to teach stick .... So where's a good place to find a beefed up A4LD and Torque converter for a reasonable price.
Not lookin fer a drag car just yet, more just reliable transportation with perk!

Also, where can i find a good aftermarket distributor? I've kinda foobar'd the screwholes over the years and have to resort to long screws and nuts with washers to hold the cap on!

when i got my car it had a 140k on it and the trans was smoked in first gear and i got a good 60,000 mile trany from the junk yard and i just put a shift kit and improver kit in it which gets rid of the factory flaws and it works fine.

I have a buddy who is really good with those transmissions, he is the only guy I would have build one for me. I have a very heavy duty converter with some additional stall in stock.
