I have a 1993 Ford Mustang 2.3 liter 4 cylinder with dual plugs. I also have codes 222,223 and 224. I seen postings on 222,223 and 224 recommending a igniton module. AT the time my car was still starting up and running. Now I have code 543 and I need to know what I can get to resolve the problem. It has something to do with the fuel pump. Has anyone had this problem?

yep the ignition control module codes 222,223,224. Its on the Intake cost around $200.00

Change that and pull the ground could be an 02 sensor, 02 harness, or grounds for the fuel system, (fuel pump ground ect.)

O'Reilly auto parts can test the ignition module for free. I had mine tested there to see if it was going bad and it was. I found a used one for $35 at a auto salvage off of a 2.3L ford ranger around the same year. Then had O'reilly test that one and it passed. Put it on my '93 stang and that eliminated my intermitten check engine light.

I had the same problem just now with both 223 and 224 codes and went to autozone because O'reilly's didn't have the module. I just replaced the module by itself and it cleared up other codes that I have had on the car for almost 6 months and noone could figure them out. The Ignition Module was 135.00 at Autozone.
