Default Got my 1st Mustang, need advice

Hey Guys, I'm new here and just got my first 'stang. It's a 93 2.3L auto. Very much stock and in really good condition. I've been doing a bunch of reading and have plans for it (SN95/Lincoln discs, T5 swap etc) but am wondering about a few other things.

I have read about the Ranger header swap, one of the first things i plan to do, but am wondering what advice you have for pipe diameter and cat and muffler type. I'm gonna build my own cold air intake, either going to get a muffler shop to mandrel bend me some pipe or form it from carbon fiber.

I'm really wondering about underdrive pulleys???? All the V8 guys seem to love 'em and I'm wondering if anyone makes a set for the 2.3 or if anyone here has founf something that will fit??? Also, being the DIS engine, I can't just advance the timing like you normally would and am wondering if there is a way to do it on this engine????

Anyways, thanks for any advice you can offer. I'm fairly new to this Mustang thing as I recently moved here from Australia and most of my of my mechanical past was spent working on V8 Cleveland powered Falcons.

the header for the ranger will work but its a shorty so it gives you rpm. If you get a long tube header it will give torqe. On my car i used a 2 1/4 exhaust size but i have a 3.73 gear in mine but i dont think it will effect the low end a lot it is only one size bigger a nd on mine i have dual exhaust. You can get pulleys and a long tube header from a website called www.racerwalsh.com
