Okay, I took my car to the garage to look at the transmission. Now the guys have broke it down and told me that it will cost $1,500 to rebuild the transmission. WTF. I might as well buy a new transmission.

Does anybody know how much it should cost to rebuild a transmission for a 87 mustang lx 2.3L 4 cylinder (stocked).

Well what tranny is it and with it being a 87 why buy a new one when I used one is so much cheaper???
