Default 88 t-bird 5.0l?

Would a 5.0l from an 88 t-bird a good choice for a swap into a 1992 2.3 lx? The engine has been professionally rebuilt and is in great running shape. $500 for the engine. I know it is best to get the parts from another Mustang. What parts would you need to make the engine work in the Mustang? Also the car (mustang) has the 5-speed. Isn't that the same one that was in the 5.0l in 1992? The older GT's also used thet 7.5 rear end up unitl around 86 or 87. Would the tranny and rear end hold up to a 5.0l if it is just for daily driving and the engine isn't going to be heavily modified? Any advice would be appreciated. There seems to be lots of different opinions out there.

1992 2.3lx no mods (yet)
