Question Tranny compatibility

Will a 4 or 5 spd from any year 2.3L fit my '81 3.3L Inline 6?

My car is an auto, so I'd need a bell anyway. There is a bunch of '87-'93 wrecked 4 cyl/5spd shells
and a couple of older ones with 4 spds nearby. I can pick them up for about $100. Thought maybe
if I had all the parts I would need to do it, it would be a fun little project. I was just reading another
thread saying You can bolt a T-5 Right up to a 3.3L, with exception of maybe the driveshaft. Do you
know anything about this?
