Cool

You can't just slap a turbo on a naturally aspirated motor. It'll disenigrate the pistons in no time flat! You need to find a turbo motor. Your best bet would be to find a donor car. '83-'88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe or '85-'89 Merkur XR4ti. The only difference between N/A and turbo motors are the oil drainback hole in the block for the turbo and most importantly, forged/dished pistons. With a donor car you also get the computer, VAM, bigger injectors, wiring harness, transmission, beefier rearend and a bazillion other parts you can either use or sell to recoupe some of your investment!

Here's 2 good sites to visit................

You can use the NA crank. You could also rig up a turbo oil return into the pan. Here's a nice cam....................................http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/A237-...12442804QQrdZ1

i was told that i had to use a forged crank because of the power produced and is it advisible to go with a super charger instead of the turbo

You were told wrong. There is absolutely no difference between a N/A crank and a turbo crank. Same with the rods. The pistons, however, are a different story. Because of the extreme pressures generated by forced induction, happening in the quench area, cast and hypereutectic pistons won't take the pressure. Forged aluminum will.

Superchargers were used on the 3.8 Superbirds, not the 2.3's. But, with enough fabrication I guess you could adapt one to anything. IMHO you'd be much better off sticking with a turbo. Just my $.02.
