The spark plugs arent getting sparks. So far i traced it back to the coils due to the distrubitor not getting any sparks either. Would this be the problem? Also jumping the car wont work either. Im gonna take it to ford 2morrow to have them look at it to see if thats it. Im hoping its not to much to fix since i just put new speakers in it and just bought the new starter. Oh well i suppose the car is over 20 yrs old lol. |
dont take it to a dealer, they're too expensive, less u bought it from them and its on some kinda warrenty...which i doubt.
Do the rest of your electronics work? I just recently had a ground wire problem that caused a similar problem, all my electronics failed. But since your starter works Ur grounds may b fine.
If u ask me, from what you've said u have a bad coil., but check the coil to distributer wire first (I also had that go out a while back)
goodluck
