There's a video on the web somewhere that shows a Briggs and Stratton or Tecumseh lawnmower engine running a turbocharger (looked like a T3 or something similar) off of a car, so I'd imagine it's possible, but I don't see where it'd be necessary, as a single turbo on a 2.3 is a pretty impressive piece of work stock, let alone when modifed, Ford left a lot of potential untapped.

Heck, there's that '57 Chevy with a big-block V8 and 8 turbos, sadly, a single 4-bbl. carburetor, a better cam, high-rise intake manifold, and some headwork would probably make more power than that beast does. (It was in Chevy High Performance or Hot Rod a few years back.)

yea that is true i have seen both of those things....hmm i dno jus thought it would be pretty bad tho jus to say you have a twin turbo svo =)............

ok well here is another question

is it possible to convert an svo to use a maf sensor instead of the vam and then to set it up where it blows through the maf instead of pulling through it? like where there would be nuthing hooked up infront of the turbo???

I thought that was a common conversion for the SVO-4. I will look at all my crap on my computers and post the instructions. I also remember most using the Tweecer and not sure if that part is a must or not.

It's already been done..........................................

Note the turbo peeking out from below the one in the foreground, passenger side. Hal over on Turboford adapted a Volvo head and a pair of turbos and dropped it into his Stang.

twin turbo is only for looks. its been proven that you can push out more power with one turbo than with two.

plus you would never need a twin turbo on an inline engine. at that point youre just robbing way too much backpressure from the original turbo when theyre mounted in-line with each other.

same goes with a V engine eventhough each header would have its own turbo... id rather have both headers filtering into one turbo making twice as much back pressure causing the turbo to spin twice as fast.
