Question Where is the Fuel Pump Relay located on a 1993 2.3L Mustang?

FUEL PUMP RELAY , I've checked all the forums I can, purchased a Haynes manual (no help there ) , everyplace I go it says the Fuel Pump Relay is under the driver's seat, about ready to pull my hair out, , WHERE IS IT on a 1993 2.3LX????????

i went through the Chilton book i have and I don't think our year has a Fuel Pump Relay. All the wiring Diagrams i checked out showed that the 5.0 has a fuel pump relay but the 2.3 is wired to a Constant Control Relay Module not a Fuel pump Relay. I couldn't find the location of this in my manual sorry. Maybe yopur haynes will tell you where its located.

Default 2300 Fuel pump relay

If the '93 is the same as the '92, the pump is driven by the
integrated relay module. It's a black module, about 4 or 5
inches square, mounted under the hood on the right fender panel.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, I know where that is, would that cause the 556 code?

I would assume that would be the probable cause of a 556. I just repaired one of those which had a burned trace on the circuit board, so if there's something that simple wrong, they can be repaired. If you have a bit of electronics experience. And by the way, that module also controls your engine cooling fan, the A/C clutch, and switches power to the computer.

picked 2 of them up from the junk yard (2, just in case) for $15, put the first one in and it fired up.

Ford still put them on many car up until 96. I have a whole list of car using the same module.

Thanks for the help.

Default Should be the same.

It should be the same as '93. Check this. http://z.about.com/d/autorepair/1/0/P/5/41854993.gif

(Integrated control module is what you are looking for.)

What were your problems? I am having trouble with my 2.3L. Sometimes it starts and runs fine, other days I get no power to the fuel pump. The line running from the harness under the fuse panel back to the tank is fine, but from the fuse panel to the module is not. I am thinking it may be the module, but wondered what your problems were.
