Default 02 sensor rewiring

I was just wondering i could rewire the 02 sensor because the connector that comes from the computer to connect to the sensor is broken. So can i just rewire the line and pick up a connector from the junk yard. its a single wire sensor. Should i rewire it with bud connector or soder the line?

Yes you can. Use the same gauge wire, crimp and solder with a butt connector.

So i had no luck at the junk yard there where no signgle wire connectors, so would it be alright to connect it directly to the 02 sensor i know its going to suck when it comes to changing it .

I look at Forced 4 motorsport website and they only have the 3 wire pigtail...

You can connect your A/F gauge but Autometer recommends to splice it into the signal return wire in the vehicle wiring harness, not the O2 harness itself.

As far as an O2 connector, any single wire connector will work, whether it's made by Ford or Radio Shack! All the connector does is make it disconnectable. It's still just a conductor from the O2 to the ECM. Find one with the same gauge wire, crimp and solder with a butt connector on the O2 wire and do the same on the vehicle wiring harness and you're good to go!

ok sounds good to me, so in order to connect to the A/F guage i have to connect it to the wire harness that connects to the ECU? Would i just have to follow the wire that comes from the 02 sensor (color0 to the ECU and connect it their?
