You won't need the whole console, just the plate around the shifter. Along with evintho's list you'll need the following:
Double hump crossmember (any V8 car or any 4cyl manual car)
Flywheel bolts(the flexplate bolts are too short to mount a flywheel)
Manual
trans speedo gear
Pressure plate bolts
The T5 uses an integral shifter, there's no linkage, but you'll need to make sure whatever
trans you end up with has the shifter end that bolts to the
trans and the handle that bolts to the shifter itself.
You'll need to do a little wiring work. The automatic harness has a pair of wires for the neutral safety switch that'll need to be jumped together and the other pair are for the reverse lights. They'll need to be adapted to the 5spd. It's really simple, even if wiring isn't your thing.
You'll need both shifter boots. One bolts to the
trans tunnel and the other is part of the plate that mounts to the console. The lower boot keeps out heat, noise and dirt, the other is mostly cosmetic.
You'll also need the driveshaft from any V8 car or any 5spd equipped 4cyl. car. The auto shaft is different and won't work.
That should just about wrap up the parts list. There's some tricks to getting everything in the car, but nothing that can't be done in a driveway or garage. The hole for the shifter needs to be enlarged just slightly on the
trans tunnel. I just snipped and folded it under then hammered it smooth.
I was able to get everything I needed from one car in a junkyard. You can also scour ebay for the pedals, driveshaft and other accessories. I've seen most of what you need there from time to time. Factory steel driveshafts can be picked up there pretty cheap. Usually the V8 guys swap them out for the FRPP aluminum driveshaft.
