Oh no, replace the original setup on the car then run it. Sorry for the confusion. You have to replace the setup that the MAF is expecting to get the car running stable again.

Also take the screen out of the mass air sensor too thet helps with the air flow. I did that on my 1993 Mustang and was able to do power stalls then.

It didn't work for my 91. I replaced the whole intake and have to buy a new MAF if I want more air going through a 3 inch diameter pipe.

Your 93 has a MAF sensor right? Have you had problems starting up your car?

Yes I have the MAF still on the air cleaner box and in working codition but I took the screen out of it. My car has been running fine for the last 6 months since I removed that screen. I'm looking into putting a MAF off a 4.6 will that even work?

I don't know if it will work. Let me know if you get any problems starting your car.. because I did with mine after switching to a 3 inch intake pipe.

Hey now I know what to do. Switch to the 3 inch intake pipe and once it starts to die on you, adjust your idle.

Look at your throttle and you'll see a screw at it where the cable is. Turn that to the right for a higher idle. Because the 3 inch intake will make it idle low therefore it turns off. I just found this out yesterday so I might try it soon.
